Querida familia,
I'm very sorry to hear about all the tragedies in town, I will pray for the families there. Great job home teaching Jacob! Way to get a head start on that. That's something we're working on with our ward right now, so thanks for setting an example. We had the second set of interviews with President Maluenda this week, and they went great! He gave me some good advice in the interview, and I learned a lot from the trainings that were given by our leaders. The biggest things would be that life is a lot easier and a lot happier when we are obedient and selfless. When we think of ourselves, life gets kind of frustrating. However, when we focus our thoughts and actions on the benefit of others, everything seems to be bright.
This week was rough with our investigators, we had to drop several of them, and very few are progressing. On the brighter side, our work with the less-actives is going much better! We had two families and a recent convert less-active come to church, so that was pretty rewarding to see! Hopefully these last two weeks in the transfer go well.
This week I also got to go on an exchange with one of the Zone leaders, and it went super well! It was my first time being "senior comp" for everything and was a little stressful, but it was a lot of fun to work with Elder Lindsey. We got Elder Faris back yesterday, and today we spent some time Jamming on piano and guitar.
The sisters had a baptism this week for a 20 yr old guy named Alex, and he's pretty awesome. 1 Hour after his baptismal service he asked if he could come out proselyting with us, so we took him for the rest of sunday night. He did great and bore testimony of his baptism to several people. He's got a heart of gold and is going to join the military soon. I hope he stays active after he gets shipped out. He'll be a great member of the ward wherever he serves.
That's about all I've got for you this week. Thanks for the video, that was really fun to hear your voices and watch ya'll in the snow. Keep being amazing and remember; if you're ever feeling down or frustrated, just pray for those around you, or do something nice for someone else. You're attitude will change in an instant. I love you all!
